CXD-310 : Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.1x Advanced Administration (Exem Voucher Incl.)

Designed for students with previous experience of XenApp and XenDesktop who are looking to further their expertise and get more value out of their XenApp and XenDesktop investment. The use of Workspace Environment Management, Provisioning Services, and advanced troubleshooting tools are just some of the topics included in the course. You will leave this course with a good understanding of how to manage more complex solutions such as multi-zone environments spanning multiple locations with configurations around StoreFront, the Delivery Controllers, and HDX. You’ll gain the skills to improve logon times, user personalization, and resource performance through Workspace Environment Management. Optimize management of your app and desktop images by building and combining App Layers.

By the end of the course you will be able to install, configure, and manage Provisioning Services in accordance with leading practices.

Note: This course is based on XenApp and XenDesktop 7.x CR (Current Release) including the hands-on labs. The current release of XenApp and XenDesktop is updated frequently with new features and improvements and as such, course content may not always reflect the latest features.

This course is currently on XenApp, XenDesktop, and Provisioning Services 7.13.

After completing this course you should be able to:

  • Configure Workspace Environment Management to improve the end user environment and virtual resource consumption
  • Understand Zones in XenApp and XenDesktop and how to account for user and desktop locations and optimal connection and registration
  • Configure and manage App Layering with XenApp and XenDesktop
  • Understand and configure HDX channels and protocols for improved performance delivering multimedia and data over network connections
  • Understand Provisioning Services architecture and be able to install and configure Provisioning Services, vDisks, and Target Devices

Designed for students with little or no previous NetScaler experience, the primary objective of the Citrix NetScaler Essentials and Traffic Management course is to provide the foundational concepts and skills necessary to implement, configure, secure, monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot a Citrix NetScaler system for application delivery. To reinforce learning objectives in this course students will work through exercises such as configure advanced load balancing and GSLB on a NetScaler, customize the NetScaler for traffic flow and content-specific requirements, and employ recommended tools and techniques to troubleshoot common NetScaler issues within a virtual lab environment.

CNS-222 : Citrix NetScaler 12.x Essentials and Unified Gateway (Exam Voucher Incl.)

This course has been designed for students with little or no previous NetScaler experience who will be deploying or managing Netscaler, Netscaler Gateway or Unified Gateway environments. You will learn to deliver secure remote access to apps and desktops integrating XenApp and XenDesktop with Unified Gateway and NetScaler Gateway, including secure load balancing, high availability and operations management.
