ITIL® 4 Managing Professional Transition

This module is a straightforward transition to ITIL® 4. It is designed to allow ITIL® v3 candidates to easily transition across to ITIL® 4. They can gain the designation of ITIL® 4 Managing Professional via a single training course and examination. It provides candidates with a clear understanding of the new ITIL® 4 concepts including the key differences between the previous iteration of ITIL® and the new one and how they can be practically applied. It highlights the key elements from each one of the four ITIL® Managing Professional (MP) modules: Create, Deliver and Support (CDS), Drive Stakeholder Value (DSV), High Velocity IT (HVIT), Direct, Plan and Improve (DPI)

Who should attend this course?
  • Existing ITIL® Expert qualification holders.
  • Candidates who wish to develop their ITIL® knowledge.
  • To participate to this transition module, delegates must be at Expert level or have a minimum of 17 v3 credits. Delegates who have not achieved this yet but already have more than 8 ITIL® v3 credits, can continue to collect their v3 Intermediate (by attending training or elearning) to enable them to be eligible to take the transition module.
    • To take the ITIL® 4 MP Transition exam, a candidate must hold the ITIL® Expert certificate or have a minimum of 17 credits from the ITIL® v3 Foundation and Intermediate/Practitioner modules.
    • ITIL® 4 Foundation can be accepted to replace ITIL® v3 Foundation, plus 15 credits from ITIL® Intermediate/Practitioner modules.
Prerequisites

ITIL® Expert certificate or a minimum of 17 credits from the ITIL® v3 Foundation and Intermediate/Practitioner modules.

Exam Duration: 90 minutes, candidates taking the exam in a language that is not their native or working language may be awarded 25% extra time, that is 113 minutes in total.

Closed Book

40 multiple choice questions, which present four options from which one option is selected.

  • There are 23 questions at Bloom’s Level 2 = approx. 57.5%
  • There are 17 questions at Bloom’s Level 3 = approx. 42.5%

Provisional Pass mark: 70% or higher (28 correct answers)

Exam included at the end of the training (day 5).
